Gua-Sha is an ancient Asian bodywork treatment for healing of chronic pain. It is especially effective back & neck pain, restoring range of motion, and post injury/surgery recovery; by releasing tight fascia, breaking down scar tissue & adhesions, degranulates mast cells (which accumulate in injured tissue), and promotes pain reduction and healing of chronically tight or injured tissues. Although Gua-Sha is effective for reducing both long and short term muscular pain, you’ll want to be prepared; Gua-Sha produces mild to generous reddening (petechia) which can last for up to 4-6 days.
